Lake County Dining Guide:
Eclectic and International
Dive into the cultural melting pot at one of Lake County’s international restaurants. Our rich Latinx heritage
brings hearty Mexican and Central American traditions, while Indian and Thai spots offer vegetarian options
and fragrant Eastern flavors. Spice it up at one of these eclectic restaurants next time you’re in Lake County.

Arti Café
Vegan and Organic Indian Fare in the Rivieras
An offshoot of its popular Marin County flagship, Arti Café brings organic, gluten-free, and vegan options to its new
Lake County location. The small Indian restaurant in Clear Lake Riviera packs in lots of personality with its
welcoming staff and outdoor seating under a DIY palapa. Arti serves authentic Indian staples like curries
and tandoori chicken and happily accommodates diners with dietary restrictions. Organic and bio-dynamic
wines from the surrounding region can be enjoyed with your meal.

Angel’s Rock House
Wet Style Mexican Plates with Huge Portions
Angel’s Rock House is a family-run cantina with approachable pricing and eye-popping portions. Known for saucy dishes
like enchiladas, wet burritos, and chili Rellenos, you’ll want to sit down and stay awhile at Angel’s. Other notable
offerings include the chicken chimichangas and carnitas tacos. This hidden gem is located between Lakeport and
Kelseyville in the rural farming town of Finley and is open for lunch and dinner. Closed Mondays.

Buddha Thai Kitchen
Authentic Asian flavor in a tiny wine country town
Buddha Thai Kitchen delivers bold flavors and consistent quality in Middletown. As the area’s only Thai restaurant, it’s become
a destination for guests of the nearby New Age enclave Harbin Hot Springs, and residents of surrounding valleys. Many are surprised to find authentic Asian cuisine in such a small community and rave about the pumpkin curry, Bangkok beef
and tom kha gai (coconut soup). Buddha Thai Kitchen serves its full menu at dinner, and $10 lunch specials until 3:00 pm.

John’s Market Taqueria
No-nonsense Mexican in a Kelseyville Bodega
Swing by John’s Market in Kelseyville to fill up on no-frills, authentic Mexican from a local favorite “hole in the wall.”
Situated at the back of a small Latin market, John’s dishes out generous portions at super affordable prices.
A “Sunset loves us” sticker in the window hints that their cult following is spreading - perhaps thanks in part
to the lifestyle magazine showing some love.  Bay Area folks will dig the girthy, Mission-style burritos at
John’s; and for those in search of heat, the spicy pork tacos should do the trick.  There’s no seating in this
small convenience store, so grab it to go and head across the street to
Kelsey Creek Brewing Company and enjoy it with a beer.
